Dress Code
On the course
Smart recognized golf clothing must be worn at all times. As a general guide, if an item can be purchased via a golf pro-shop then it may be worn on the course. If you are in any doubt please consult our club professional.
We do not allow denim, football or rugby attire, tracksuits, cargo shorts or trousers of the multi pocketed/multi zipped variety. We prefer to see shirts tucked into waistbands but acknowledge that fashions change so shirts specifically designed to be worn ‘untucked’ are acceptable. Footwear must be recognized golf shoes and be worn with either metal, soft spikes or dimpled soles.
In the clubhouse
The club is continuing to develop a relaxed modern environment in the bars and lounge, so golf attire is quite acceptable. Smart casual wear is permitted in all bars and lounges including jeans providing they are not of the torn or ripped variety. Shoes that have been worn on the course or intended to be worn on the course may not be worn in the main lounge or dining room. Clean golf shoes are permitted in the Sutherland bar. Football & rugby attire etc is not permitted in any of our bars or lounges and we request that golf caps/head gear are also removed. Golfers must change out of any wet or dirty clothing before entering any of our bars or lounges. Holdalls/shoe bags etc are not permitted in any of our bars or lounges.
Club Presentations-(defined as any Invitation day presentation, Open presentation, Captain & Presidents day presentation) the dress code for such events will be formal unless over-ruled by a club official.
The dress code for any evening /presentation event will be communicated prior to the said event.
