What began as a gloomy, rain-spotted morning soon cleared to reveal fine playing conditions – and some equally fine golf. Despite the damp start, five teams managed to score 40 points or more, proving that determination (and perhaps a few lucky bounces) can go a long way.
The first tee, as always, posed its usual challenge. Thankfully, most players avoided an early bath – and not from the rain, but from the lake guarding the opening hole.
An outstanding score of 46 points secured the top spot, though all three podium places were decided on countback in what proved to be a tightly contested competition.

Following a down pour at 6 am causing flooding of a few greens putting the competition in doubt but by start of play thanks to our Greens Team everyone teed off on time.
Although the weather was finally dry and sunny the light breeze made things a little tricky but everyone coped.
